About me
I am licensed in Maine and Wyoming with 15 years of professional work experience. I completed my Undergraduate in Social Work and Human Services within a research track and a focus on women and health in 1999 at Simmons College in Boston. After working in social services for many years, I pursued my Bachelors in Social Work from Walla Walla University (2009) and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked in multiple systems including a grant funded Youth Home, Family Services, Community Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and the Veteran's Administration. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression best practices. I practice person-centered and trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy and look forward to meeting with you to meet your goals in a safe setting without judgment.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, & trauma and abuse. I also have experience working with depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
